About Key Club
Cali-Nev-Ha 2011 District Convention!
District Convention (or DCON for short) is an annual gathering of Key Clubbers from across California, Nevada, and Hawaii, with upwards of 3,000 attendees every year! It is a celebration of youth in service, and marks the end and beginning of the Key Club year. The more official side of DCON is electing our new district board (our new governor, secretary, treasurer, and tech editor). Old officers are also honored for their service through a variety of possible awards. As we gather for "general sessions," we look at the year in review and total up all of the hours worked, dollars earned, and hearts touched (just kidding that last one is unquanitifiable).

But DCON can also be described as one giant spirit rally, to celebrate the energy and enthusiasm we all have for service. Divisions engage in "spirit battles," where each division shows up its vocal chords by screaming divisional cheers at the top of their lungs. A variety of speakers host workshops in different topics, including public speaking and active appreciation for our local heroes.
This year, DCON is in Anaheim, CA, from April 15 - 17 (second weekend of Spring Break). The projected cost is about $200, but more exact numbers will be available soon. We hope to offer financial assistance for those who need it. Ask Matthew if you have more questions!
